  1. Have an admin enable IRC
  2. Go to https://my.slack.com/account/gateways
  3. Open the webadmin, go to your settings, add a network
  4. I chose my team name as the network name
  5. Nickname is my slack username
  6. Alt is garbage
  7. ident my slack user name
  8. server: TEAMNAME.irc.slack.com +6667 TEAMNAME.PASSWORD
